Music, Food, Farming & the Season Ahead 🌍

We hope your year is off to an amazing start. As January and February roll by, we’ve been moving with intention – planting seeds, having important conversations, and laying foundations across everything we do. From music to food, from farms to festival fields, it all feels deeply connected.

So, what’s in store for us?

Over the winter months, we’ve been making purposeful moves in the world of music, working to bring together the strongest lineup we genuinely believe in. Every artist, every decision, has been led by excitement, integrity, and a shared love of coming together through music. This year marks the return of Valley Fest, and we’re bringing it back with real passion and renewed energy.

But Valley fest has always been about more than what happens on stage. As we look ahead, we’re just as excited to begin bringing the regenerative elements of the festival to life – thinking carefully about how the event can give back to the land, support community, and leave something positive behind long after the music fades.

That same thinking runs through everything else we do.

Throughout the winter, The Story Farms have been quietly doing what they do best. We’ve continued to care for all of our cows and pigs through the wet, muddy months, keeping things moving even as the weather has tested us. Farming doesn’t stop for the season, and there’s something grounding about that stea

dy rhythm, whatever the conditions.

Like many of you, we’re now watching the skies and hoping for the rain to ease off as winter (hopefully) draws to a close. The promise of spring – longer days, greener fields, fresh growth – feels close, and we can’t wait to see the farms begin to shift with the season.

From those fields, the journey continues.

We’re proud to have launched a new partnership through MeatBoxShop.com, working alongside our valley butcher, Kelly’s of Chew Magna and a network of brilliant local farmers. Together, we’re making sure you can still have high-quality meat boxes delivered straight to your door, with animal welfare, provenance, and flavour at the heart of it all.  We have just opened up Bath postcodes again to coincide with being more central, we can deliver every Wednesday and Fridays so get your orders in quick and make the most of this initial discount code for you loyal customers.

The shop in Chew Magna is also open Tuesday to Sunday where you can click and collect or just pop in and say hello and grab a bacon sandwich whilst you wait!

And from farms and butchers, it naturally finds its way onto the plate.

We’ve recently opened a new restaurant in Bath – Root Bath – and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you in. The space was formerly Jamie Oliver’s restaurant and had been closed for several years, so reopening it feels especially meaningful. This marks our third restaurant, Bristol, Wells and now Bath, and we’ve been incredibly grateful for the warm welcome from the local community so far.

To our wider community in the  Valley, we’d love to see you in person. Please come and visit us in WellsBristol, or Bath – whether it’s for a meal, a drink or simply to say hello.

As winter gives way to spring, everything feels poised for growth.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us – on the land, around the table, and in the fields where the music will soon play.

Stay tuned!
