Another year on, the milestone of November hangs heavy over our families head, the passing of both our parents in early November 2003 and 2007 never leaves you, the heavy heart, the quivering voice, the thought provoking memories always there and then you realise how lucky you are, how amazing and beautiful life really is, that you can have gratitude for everything that your parents did for you, always trying to remember the good times, the smiles, the fun and ofcourse the love that they had for everyone they knew.
Without them none of this would be possible, i would not have the belief in what I am doing, the love for the farm, the land and the soil. They have left us this behind and I made a pact from that fateful day on the 5th November to always make them proud, to leave this world a better place than I found it, to celebrate their legacy with as many people as I could.
This in a nutshell is why I sit here writing these notes, why we invite people to get on our land, the communities that we build, those communities that we live in means so much to me, the things we do, the festivals, the functions, the restaurants, the cows and the pigs, delivering the finest organic regenerative meat that one can buy, telling the story about the food and reconnecting our minds, body and soul.
Last month I managed Meatbox in Bristol and pretended to be a butcher, it was great to meet some of our customers first, I was amazed with how many people are on the primal diet and trying to source the best meat they could find, they had certainly come to the right place when i was on watch, it was exciting for me to tell them how and where the meat was produced, the health benefits of 100% pasture for life livestock, not only for the animals but also for people and planet.
At the end of the day our health should be the most important aspect of life as we know it, yet we all make decisions every day that is probably not for the best interest of our health.
What if I told you there’s a powerful drug that can transform your health without a single side effect?
That drug is not in a pill—it’s in your kitchen, its the food that we eat.
Food isn’t just calories—it’s a molecular signal that programs your biology in real time. Every bite you take sends information to your cells, influencing everything from gene expression to hormone balance, brain chemistry, and immune function.
By making thoughtful food choices, you’re leveraging one of the most powerful tools we have in medicine. If you knew something had the ability to change your life, would you try it? When we put it like that it makes even more sense to start your journey on a regenerative food future, make those important steps to knowing your farmer, shaking that hand that feeds you. Come join our community, visit the farm, get your hands dirty, grow some vegetables, grow your own relationship with nature, it really can enhance your own health and wellbeing.
